BI Approves Leave Request From Deputy Governor
Friday, October 21, 2011 | Admin

Bank Indonesia’s board of governors have approved a request from deputy governor Budi Mulya for six-months leave from his position, due to private reasons.

Prior to a board meeting, the governors received a letter from Budi on Oct. 15, which requested the leave, the central bank’s website reported.

Budi’s request will be valid for six months since it was approved by the bank’s board. However, the board can extend the period by a maximum of six more months, a central bank statement said.

The reinstating of Budi Mulya as the central bank’s deputy governor will be decided at a future board meeting.

In his absence, Budi’s duties will be carried out by a member of the board.
